FALCARRAGH TECH COMPANY LANDS €2M CONTRACT WITH CENTRA AND SUPERVALU

first_imgKelsius executive chairman Eamonn Quinn with Ray Bowe, head of food safety at SuperValu and Centra.Pic northwestnewspixA COUNTY Donegal-based food technology company has landed a €2 million contract with Musgraves. The deal will see Kelsius’s wireless FoodCheck technology rolled out in SuperValu and Centra stores across the State. Between them, the two brand stores operate 680 outlets in the Republic.Workers in store use sensors to ensure food is being maintained at correct temperatures, with the data being recorded on a web-based system. Figures that do not conform with required regulatory standards generate alerts, which are sent to store supervisors and managers by way of text message. The FoodCheck system will replace the paper-based monitoring record, which requires more time to carry out and is more prone to human error.Kelsius is a cloud-based food safety monitoring business based in Falcarragh. It says its FoodCheck system, based on expertise in sensor technology, is the only one of its kind in the market. The Donegal group says the contract has a potential value of €2 million annually. FALCARRAGH TECH COMPANY LANDS €2M CONTRACT WITH CENTRA AND SUPERVALU was last modified: August 3rd, 2015 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:CentradonegalFalcarraghKelsiusmusgravesSuperValulast_img read more
