Israel: Delek Drilling, Avner complete merger

first_imgIsrael’s Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration, both subsidiaries of Delek Group, have completed the previously announced merger.The two companies on Wednesday received a merger certificate from the Registrar of Partnerships, thus fulfilling all the preconditions for the merger to take place.The companies have said the aim of the merger is “simplifying the holding structure.”Following the merger, the merged entity will continue operating under the Delek Drilling name, while Avner, formed in 1991, will cease to exist.Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration, prior to the merger, have held stakes in large Israeli gas fields – the producing Tamar, and Leviathan – Israel’s largest gas discovery, and Aphrodite in Cyprus.According to Reuters, the newly merged company will start trading next week, and will have a market value of $4.4 billion.Offshore Energy Today Stafflast_img read more

Okwahu United begin Division One campaign with new bus

first_imgDivision One side Okwahu United with the able assistance of their club President Brian Acheampong have acquired a new bus ahead of the upcoming Division One season.The Kwahu side under their club President have embarked on a journey to restructuring the club in line with modrern standards.Parts of the restructuring includes improved player salaries, professional and attrctive branding and renovation works at the Nkawkaw Stadium which is ongoing.The latest addition is the acquisition of a new bus to aid their transportation to and from match venues.The Kwahu side have gone 10 seasons without Premier League soccer after being relegated in the 2005/2006 finishing 14th on 32 points.Okwahu begin their search for promotion with a game against Accra Great Olympics at the Aquinas Park View pictures of the newly acquired bus below  –Follow Joy Sports on Twitter: @JoySportsGH.
