La Mirada’s Eddie Martinez gained 110 rushing yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown. Josiah Bentle Blood had earlier fumbled at his own 15, where Steven McKnight recovered the ball and ran to the end zone for a touchdown. Blood was sacked on La Mirada’s last possession of the first half before his team trailed 28-14 at the break. La Mirada quarterback Trevor Blood, who came off the bench last week to lead the Matadors past Bellflower, threw for 76 yards on six attempts in the first half.
