Crown Attorney Appointed in Liverpool

first_imgSharon Goodwin has been appointed a Crown attorney in the Liverpool office of the Public Prosecution Service. The appointment was announced today, Sept. 10, by Martin Herschorn, director of public prosecutions. “I am very pleased to have Ms. Goodwin join our team of Crown attorneys,” said Mr. Herschorn. “Her experience in criminal law will be an asset to the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service.” A native of Port Hastings, Inverness Co., Ms. Goodwin graduated in 2003 from Dalhousie University with a bachelor of science with an advanced major in biology. She graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2006. Ms. Goodwin articled with Creighton Shatford and Drysdale in Amherst and was admitted to the Nova Scotia bar in 2007. She was appointed an associate with the firm in 2007. In 2009, Ms. Goodwin joined the Antigonish office of Nova Scotia Legal Aid as a staff lawyer. Her practice included criminal, family and poverty law.last_img
