The Minister on Wednesday launched one lakh saplings plantation drive under mass Haritha Haram programme in B Chandupatla, Timmavaram, Modinpuram villages of Chivemla mandal in the district . As part of planting 5.50 lakh saplings in Suryapet Assembly constituency, on Wednesday he examined the plantation of 1,600 saplings from B Chandupatla to Timmapuram covering a stretch of 4 km by walk. Stating that the thought of planting saplings as the duty of Forest department had pushed the present society into deep troubles, Jagadish informed that by planting and protecting saplings, healthy environment sans pollution would be provided to future generations. It is duty of everyone to plant and protect trees for a better society, he underlined.
