United ignored up to 40 reports that recommended signing Alphonso Davies

first_imgAlphonso Davies is one of the revelation players of this campaign. The Canadian arrived in winter 2019 from the Whitecaps to Bayern in exchange for 10 million euros, a figure that seemed high by a young MLS player and that now, sounds right, after he has quadrupled his price after winning the ownership in the Bavarian left wing.If that price has been ‘inflated’ it has been for pure merit. The side became a fixture of the defense of Bayern since November and adds eight assists in 21 games, where he has left good performances. The potential, according to its discoverer, was intuited but Manchester United did not seem enough. The old scout of the Red Devils, Jorge Alvial, tells Manchester Evening News how he sent up to 40 reports about the player when he was just 14 years old but the club never bet on him. “He was the first player I recommended to United. The first time I saw him play was in the Dallas Cup and he was a very good player. He was only 14 years old. He returned to Vancouver and one day, watching videos I said “Wait, I remember this player. It’s Alphonso.” I called the club, was newly hired, and asked to go see him in Canada. I recommended it immediately. I had a heartbeat with him, more perhaps than when I recommended Pulisic to Chelsea with only 14 years. When I saw him, he did not train well or was with good coaches for his development but he knew that in United or in any club, he would make the leap. “In addition to his qualities, he was also captivated by his character. “I was talking to him. It’s what I do when I work as a scout. I talk to them and I can see if they are smart, ambitious, if they want to improve … He was not the typical kid who wants to be a superstar and make money. He had everything and what he could do at that age on the field … I thought he was a superstar, “he said. Thus, as was due to United, he wrote up to 40 reports about the Canadian that did not help Davies end up as a red devil. “Two years ago, I recommended it to United. Without hesitation a second. I wrote up to 40 reports about him when he was there.”, he explained in the Mancunian newspaper.last_img read more

Seeing the recognition that he is being unanimous about the figure of my father takes a little better despite the fact that this pain is for life.”Lorenzo Sanz: “The last time we spoke was at Christmas. I travel a lot for my chores. My father’s passions were family and Real Madrid. He was proud of what he had around the table.” The President of the Seventh: “My father entered through Ramón Mendoza in 1985 and stayed until 2000. It was another era. Italian soccer was the most powerful. In Spanish soccer, he had no powerful contracts or many resources. He set up a team that won the League and the European Cup. I have not seen anything like the arrival in Madrid then. Then the Eighth came in a difficult time because there was no such income as there is now. “Things to say: “You always have things left. My father was a real computer. In his head he remembered everything. In the ICU they let him have a phone and we could send him messages.”Tribute: “I have spoken with Florentino. The contact has been daily. Right now the important thing is to end this virus and that when it is finished you can see what has gone wrong. All the players of his time have called me destroyed. They are all devastated and wanting something to be done to remember the figure of my father. “last_img read more

Bayer Leverkusen joins the bid for the Brazilian Emerson

first_imgBetis is aware that it will not be easy to retain Emerson this summer and that the last word will be in the hands of Barcelona, which can be done with the footballer despite the fact that the initial intention was for him to play in Heliópolis until 2021. Bayer Leverkusen is the last to sign up to bid on the right side: according to the newspaper KickerThe German team would be willing to pay a large amount of money to convince Barça of its transfer. The culé club expects figures of between 20 and 30 million to do business with the Brazilian, although it would force its buyer to leave a future option to buy back on the table. In Germany they assure that the conversations between clubs are already on the table and there is a disposition of the parties waiting for the course to end and the player himself can also glimpse his future with more certainty. Barcelona sees feasible economic management that leaves immediate benefits without closing the doors for the player to return in the future if his jump to the elite ends up being definitive. His good campaign at Betis is arousing the desire of numerous clubs and Leverkusen has the potential to bear that cost. In any case, Betis sees the continuity of its starting right back in danger and he does not hesitate to move a chip to protect that position for the next course. With Barragán and Francis out of the coach’s plans (the first ends his contract and the second is on loan), in Heliópolis they fear the hypothetical shortcomings that they may have in the summer when it comes to repairing those possible exits in the right lane.
